What is the Contours 6 Week Challenge?

The Contours 6 Week Challenge is a fun, national competition designed to motivate women to focus on their health and wellbeing. Like our gyms that Challenge is for women only and provides you with an exercise plan, healthy eating guide and a ways to track your success – there are also prizes to win too! What are the dates of the Challenge?

The challenge starts on 2 August 2010 and ends on 12 September 2010.

What are the prizes and how are the winners determined?

There are prizes awarded in every studio. Ask your instructors for more details.

Do I need to be a member of Contours in order to participate in the Challenge?

No. You are able to sign up to participate in the challenge without being a member. However, there will be some great discount offers to become a member after the challenge should you decide to join.

What is Contours?

Contours is an Australian owned fitness group. Our unique 29 minute workout has been designed by women for woman so it focuses on our ‘tricky areas’ and helps tone the areas we need to work on. To find out more about Contours Click here.

Do I need to be fit to be a part of the 6 Week Challenge?

You definitely don't need to be fit before you begin. But it’s our job to get you feeling younger and fitter by the end of the 6 weeks. The Challenge has been designed to cater to all fitness levels, so come on challenge yourself today!

I'm really very fit already, will the Challenge, challenge me?

Definitely. We have a number of Challengers who have participated in a many 6 Week Challenges over a period of time - and they're fitness levels improve every time they participate. Because the Challenge is about improving your health and wellbeing there is always something new to learn. We offer nutrition plans, exercise tips and advice on how to stay focused after the Challenge has finished.

I've got an old sports injury - is it safe?

If you have any concerns at all you should first check with a doctor or physio about starting to exercise again. We encourage everyone to work at their own pace and never push anyone harder than they can go, but if you have an injury that has not healed properly the challenge like any exercise will be likely to stress it. If you are ready for the Challenge, you can rest assured that you are in safe hands. Contours is the only express gym nationally certified by Fitness Australia. This means we need to comply with their rigorous standards - and we do so that you can get the results you are after in a fun, friendly and safe environment.

On my first day at the gym what should I bring with me and what should I wear?

We recommend comfortable clothing that you will feel comfortable exercising in e.g. shorts, leggings or tracksuit pants, a T-shirt and runners. We also recommend that you bring a small towel and a bottle of water so that you can ensure that you stay hydrated. If you have anything else with you, there is an area to store your personal items whilst you are exercising.

What is included in the 6 week Challenge and what is the cost?

Each 6 Week challenger will receive; access to your Contours gym for the 6 week period, a BioAge assessment and a participant guide that includes recipes, weekly meal planners and nutritional information to help you make decisions when eating out. Your Contours gym has some great offers to get you started on the 6 Week Challenge – be sure to ask your instructor.
